Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

As a Legal Counsel at Deel, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal advice, and collaborating with business colleagues on legal solutions.

In Short

• Draft and review contracts ranging from services agreements to employment contracts.
• Provide relevant advice to customers and employees where appropriate.
• Work closely with business colleagues to provide legal solutions that are business-oriented.
• Collaborate with legal colleagues in preparing templates, guides, playbooks, processes and/or manuals.
• Be the point of contact for any Australian related matters the company is involved in.
• Work across various Australia/New Zealand related projects.

Requirements

• Must be geographically based in Australia.
• Qualified to practice in Australia.
• 3-5 years’ experience with a strong background in cross border employment law matters.
• Proactive, autonomous, resilient, and adaptable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
