Overview

As a Data Engineer on the Data Platform team at Deel, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Deel’s data infrastructure, ensuring it scales effectively with a large team of data professionals.

In Short

• Design, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
• Implement robust data governance policies.
• Develop and maintain ELT processes for data extraction and transformation.
• Optimize SQL queries for data analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
• Build a development environment and CI/CD system.
• Ingest data from external systems via APIs.
• Stay informed on industry trends and technologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses.
• Proficiency in designing efficient database schemas.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow.
• Experience with data streaming and Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Proficiency in Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Experience in setting up PII anonymization and RBAC.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
