Senior AdTech Engineer - Freelance - Remote

Decentriq is the rising leader in data-clean-room technology. With Decentriq, advertisers, retailers, and publishers securely collaborate on 1st-party data for optimal audience targeting and campaign measurement. Headquartered in Zürich, Decentriq is trusted by renowned institutions in the DACH market and beyond, such as RTL Ad Alliance, Publicis Media, and UBS.

We’re building a DMP and identity solution (OneID) that sits at the heart of our platform. We’re looking for a Senior AdTech Engineer freelancer (≥ 80%, start as soon as possible) for 6 months (possible conversion into FTE) to own our adtech integrations end-to-end. The role can be fully remote (± 4h CET) or based in our Zürich/Berlin office.

In Short

• Own Our JavaScript Tags – Develop and maintain Decentriq's client-side tags for our OneID identity system and DMP event capture.
• Support Publisher Integrations – Work directly with publisher technical teams to integrate our tags and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Build Adserver Integrations – Develop key-value lookups and integrations with adservers (GAM, Xandr).
• Own Server-to-Server Integrations – Design and build low-latency S2S integrations with the adtech ecosystem: adservers, DSPs, and identity providers.
• Creative Pixel Integrations – Build and maintain pixel integrations for campaign measurement and attribution.

Requirements

• (Must have) Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science or a related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• (Must have) Expert-level JavaScript and Python; experience building low-latency, production-grade adtech systems.
• (Must have) Have worked at a publisher, DMP, or SSP—you understand the adtech ecosystem from the inside.
• (Must have) Hands-on experience with adserver integrations (Google Ad Manager, Xandr).
• (Plus) Experience with identity graphs, ID resolution, or cookieless identity solutions.
• (Plus) Familiarity with privacy frameworks (TCF, consent management).
• (Plus) Rust proficiency (we use it for backend services and compute-heavy client-side modules).
