Manager I, Engineering - Metrics Control Plane - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for an engineering manager to lead our Metrics Control Plane team and help grow it to the next level. The team works across our Metrics Platform to design, implement, integrate, and operate systems that control data routing through our metrics pipeline to optimize reliability and performance.

In Short

• Own the vision and execution for Metrics Control Plane
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Software Engineers
• Partner with other Metrics Platform teams to develop solutions that bridge across systems within the Metrics Platform
• Be a technical leader of the team; reviewing architecture decisions, RFCs, and pull requests
• Share on-call responsibilities with the rest of the team
• Run and optimize team processes for successful delivery of high quality work

Requirements

• Experience managing and leading teams with successful product delivery
• Comfortable managing geographically distributed teams
• Experience with distributed systems, control plane, and/or data routing
• Passionate about developing scalable systems
• Experience managing operationally heavy teams
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration
• Strategic thinker with a track record of translating complex concepts
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
