Board Certified Physician Reviewer - Medical Oncology - Remote

Overview

This telework opportunity allows you to customize your schedule and caseload within the week while maintaining client-mandated turnaround times. Our reviewers are compensated on a per-case basis as a 1099 independent contractor.

In Short

• Reviews all medical records and addresses client questions using specific criteria.
• Ensures clarity and documentation support for determinations made.
• Utilizes current criteria and resources for objective decision-making.
• Provides necessary documentation with reports in a timely manner.
• Returns cases by the due date and time.
• Makes mandated telephone calls as required.
• Maintains proper licensing and credentialing.
• Attends required training and orientation.
• Responds to quality assurance issues and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must hold an active New Mexico or Texas medical license.
• Experience in medical oncology and insurance claims review.
• Strong clinical expertise and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor.
• Familiarity with evidence-based guidelines and standards of care.
