Senior Project Architect - Remote

Overview

Cushing Terrell is seeking a highly skilled licensed Senior Project Architect who brings a strong technical understanding of architectural design and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and broad technical expertise, capable of delivering high-quality projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will work in a dynamic, creative and collaborative environment on a wide range of small to large commercial projects, leading and supporting from conception through completion.

In Short

• Shape and guide the development of innovative and functional architectural designs.
• Utilize architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) for detailed project plans and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulations across a diverse portfolio of projects.
• Integrate sustainable design principles into projects.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, providing regular feedback and support to nurture their growth and development.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including other in-house Engineers and external consultants.
• Address design and technical challenges with creative problem-solving.
• Present design ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
• Review drawings and specifications meticulously for accuracy and quality.
• Stay current with industry trends, adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture plus a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Licensed Architect.
• Experience supporting Commercial interiors projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and other design software.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Ability to lead integrated design teams.
• Client-facing experience and ability to lead discussions.
