Refrigeration Engineer in Training - Remote

Overview

As a Cushing Terrell team member, you will create built environments that push the boundaries of cutting-edge design and contribute to thriving communities. You will join a multidisciplinary team of talented engineers, architects, designers, planners, and business professionals who work across 17 office locations as well as remotely throughout the United States.

In Short

• Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Utilize knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and planning to help drive projects.
• Learn new areas, take on more responsibilities, and maintain a can-do attitude.
• Support design teams in partnership with Architects, Engineers, and Business Professionals.
• Perform engineering analysis and design calculations.
• Analyze product literature, specifications, and select major system components.
• Produce plans, sections, details, specifications, and schedules.
• Prepare estimates and compare with client requirements.
• Plan projects and coordinate with other consultants.
• Provide basic research into jurisdictional requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 5+ years of project experience.
• Strong communication skills across different styles.
• Basic knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
• Experience with contract document software and construction correspondence.
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems and calculations.
• Solid understanding of construction and ability to manage complex schedules.
• Strong initiative and ability to start projects independently.
