Complex Claim Manager - General Liability - Remote

Overview

This role involves managing complex general liability claims, focusing on both litigated and non-litigated cases, ensuring efficient claims handling and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.

In Short

• Manage and evaluate general liability claims in a fast-paced environment.
• Independently assess coverage, liability, and damages.
• Develop and execute litigation plans.
• Handle all claim documentation and correspondence.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds, brokers, and underwriters.
• Analyze claims with insurance carriers for accurate payments.
• Maintain a claims and suspense system.
• Process claims timely according to company policy.
• Assess eligibility of denied claims.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• College degree in business or equivalent work experience.
• Five years of claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry and claims processing.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer and office skills.
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
• Property & Casualty Adjuster License(s) preferred.
• Experience in environmental claims handling preferred.
