Overview

The Pre-Arrival Team Lead coordinates daily assignments to ensure the team’s ability to complete high volumes in a timely manner, focusing on patient account registrations and insurance information.

• Lead teams in daily activities related to eligibility and referrals.
• Coordinate and document referrals and authorizations accurately.
• Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits.
• Assist patients with self-pay status and financial options.
• Provide education and training to staff.
• Manage TES and ETM files as assigned.
• Support clinical areas with registration and benefit inquiries.
• Send financial alerts to inform divisions of potential liabilities.
• Adjust assignments based on coverage needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in Medical Billing/Coding.
• Previous pre-certification experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of insurance terminology.
• Ability to work with various stakeholders.
• Communication and detail-oriented skills.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
• Some college or associate degree preferred.
• Certifications like CPC or RHIT preferred.
