In Short

  • Interact directly with patients in a clinic setting.
  • Obtain vital signs and conduct EKGs.
  • Assist with examinations and lab tests.
  • Manage patient flow and documentation.
  • Monitor supply inventory and clean exam rooms.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Work in a normal office environment with exposure to clinical settings.
  • Participate in continuing education and staff programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Six months of related work experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Medical Assistant certification within six months of hire.
  • Experience in patient care and clinical tasks.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to participate in cross-training programs.
