Medical Coder II - Ambulatory - Remote

Overview

VECRA is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Medical Coders with MHS Genesis experience. Applicants must be certified medical coders with the ability to code, recode, abstract, analyze, and assemble medical record data.

In Short

• Must have MHS Genesis experience.
• Accurate assignment of ICD-10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Maintain coding accuracy of at least 95%.
• Work remotely with flexible hours.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Good communication skills required.
• Must have a secure workspace to protect PHI/PII.
• Annual certification maintenance required.
• Access to high-speed internet is necessary.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Medical Coder (CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT).
• At least 1 year of MHS Genesis experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of coding guidelines from relevant health organizations.
• Experience in coding for various medical specialties.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Must maintain a clean and secure work environment.
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft applications.
• Must return issued equipment upon leaving the position.
• Must complete required training annually.
