Medical Coder - Remote

Overview

Theoria Medical is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join its team as Medical Coders. In this role, you will support our billing department by accurately reviewing, assigning, and verifying medical codes for various patient services.

In Short

• Full-time position as a Medical Coder.
• Remote work opportunity based in the Philippines.
• Compensation of Php 45,000 - 50,000 (All-in package).
• Responsibilities include reviewing medical records and ensuring accurate coding.
• Must ensure compliance with federal regulations and payer requirements.
• Collaboration with healthcare providers to clarify discrepancies.
• Participation in ongoing education and training.
• Conduct regular audits of coding accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Graduate with a BS in Nursing or comparable degrees in the medical field.
• Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience in medical coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• RAF/HCC audit experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with coding software and EHR systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
