DevOps Engineer CaaS - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and open-minded DevOps Engineer CaaS for our client in Bern. In this role, you will take a central position in the operation and further development of a modern digitization platform.

In Short

• Ensure stable, secure, and highly available operation of the CaaS platform (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS)
• Automate deployments, configurations, and operational processes using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Python)
• Integrate and operate CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery and improvement of Cloud Native Applications
• Monitor and manage events for proactive error detection and resolution
• Incident and problem management within an ITIL-oriented operational model
• Implement changes and continuously optimize the platform in the spirit of continual improvement
• Maintain and develop technical documentation and knowledge management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality, security, and scalability

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science (University/ETH/FH) or comparable professional experience
• Kubernetes certificates (CKAD, CKA, CKS) are an advantage
• Several years of experience with Cloud Native Applications (Kubernetes, AWS, OpenShift)
• Proficient in technologies such as VMWare (vSphere), Git, RPM, Postfix
• Knowledge in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Python, NETCONF/YANG)
• Experience with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with web technologies and APIs (JavaScript, HTML, REST APIs)
• Experience in building and operating highly available solutions
• Practical experience with agile methods (SAFe, SCRUM, DevOps)
• Strong social skills and customer-oriented behavior
• Fluent in German and English
• Continuous residence in Switzerland for at least 5 years and impeccable conduct
