Overview

CDI is looking for an experienced nonprofit finance professional who can bring both rigor and adaptability to our financial operations as we grow. As our first dedicated finance hire, you will play a critical role in refining systems, ensuring compliance, and building financial strategies that support our expanding revenue streams and evolving needs.

In Short

• Maintain and improve accounting policies and financial workflows.
• Own financial forecasting and update projections regularly.
• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Operations.
• Develop spend management and procurement processes.
• Prepare and automate financial reports.
• Manage CDI’s annual tax filings and audit process.
• Monitor cash flow and reserves.
• Oversee grant tracking and reporting.
• Review financial terms of sales contracts.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial workflows.

Requirements

• Experience in nonprofit finance management.
• Strong understanding of GAAP compliance.
• Proficiency in financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Ability to manage cash flow and grant reporting.
• Experience with bookkeeping and financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and other financial software.
• Ability to work independently and manage a small team.
