PHP / WordPress Developer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on WordPress Developer to lead the development, deployment, and optimisation of our public-facing websites and supporting technology infrastructure.

In Short

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Implement responsive, accessible front-end code using HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript.
• Integrate REST APIs and other data sources into WordPress builds.
• Support site performance, SEO optimisation, and WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Configure and manage CDN integrations (e.g., Cloudflare or CloudFront).
• Assist in configuring and maintaining WordPress hosting environments.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with other developers through code reviews and feature branches.

Requirements

• Strong experience in PHP and WordPress development.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs and data integration.
