Vice President of Accounting - Remote

Overview

The Vice President of Accounting is a key member of the finance leadership team responsible for overseeing CSI’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial processes and supports strategic decision-making in a high-growth, private equity-backed fintech environment.

In Short

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, revenue, and month-/year-end close.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, board materials, and investor updates.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate audit processes.
• Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance to complex transactions.
• Support the CFO in cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and long-range financial modeling.
• Partner with the CFO to deliver timely financial data to private equity sponsors.
• Lead optimization and integration of accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Hire, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, HR, and Operations.

Requirements

• CPA required; MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 3–5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a private equity-backed company; fintech or SaaS industry experience desirable.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards.
• Proven ability to lead audits and manage complex transactions.
• Strong systems orientation; experience with ERP platforms.
• High integrity, sound judgment, and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
