Wildlife Biologist - Remote

Overview

This position is an integral member of the Environment and Policy Support Team (EPST), which provides environmental and policy support to farming and forestry operations in North America. The role focuses on environmental regulatory compliance, forest policy coordination, and management of wildlife and other environmental attributes.

In Short

• Provide wildlife and environmental technical support to farming and forestry staff.
• Support farm and forestry certification programs.
• Implement stewardship programs, including SFI.
• Coordinate survey efforts for wildlife species and biodiversity monitoring.
• Facilitate cooperative research projects on managed properties.
• Develop relationships with peers and conservation organizations.
• Liaison with federal and state wildlife agencies.
• Comply with company policies and safety programs.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
• Travel regionally and occasionally nationally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, forestry or natural resource related field.
• 5+ years of experience in wildlife management and farm operations.
• Ability to work in both office and field settings.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with conservation projects and grant writing preferred.
• Proficiency in GIS and mapping software preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
