Biologist III - Remote

Overview

The Biologist III position involves research, fieldwork, impact analysis, and report preparation in the environmental consulting sector, with a focus on biological work.

In Short

• Responsible for composing and reviewing biological technical reports.
• Lead and perform biological or chemical tests.
• Provide technical reviews of literature related to biological issues.
• Collaborate with agencies and organizations on biological issues.
• Conduct biological monitoring during construction activities.

• Perform special status plant and wildlife surveys.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Position requires some outside travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
• Strong writing, editing, and QA/QC skills.
• Familiarity with ESRI GIS applications.
• Knowledge of plant identification and special status species.
• Experience with regulatory permitting processes.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent navigation skills and driving record.
• Possession of a Scientific Collecting or Federal 10a1a permit is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
