Overview

This is a short-term position with funding available through January 30, 2026. The People & Culture Business Partner is the primary talent and support resource responsible for the delivery of P&C services for their respective departments. They are responsible for administering daily HR functions, recruiting, and providing excellent customer service, delivered to internal hiring teams and external talent and candidates alike.

In Short

  • Source and recruit a motivated, diverse talent pool through multiple channels.
  • Administer the full-cycle hiring process.
  • Provide onboarding updates and reporting via HRIS.
  • Support new hire orientation and conduct eligibility verification.
  • Analyze hiring, engagement, and workforce data.
  • Lead and assist in employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Process workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Collaborate on special projects and report progress.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of California employment law.
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
  • Experience working across various HR functions.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to build trust-based partnerships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field.
  • PHRca Certification (Strongly Preferred).
  • 2 years of professional HR experience.
  • Ability to communicate using American Sign Language (preferred).
