Payroll Supervisor - Remote

Overview

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across all 50 U.S. states and select international locations.

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including wages, deductions, and taxes.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Supervise daily operations of the payroll team.
• Maintain and update payroll records and employee data.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to payroll specialists.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams on payroll-related issues.
• Lead year-end payroll processes, including W-2 issuance.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Prior experience supervising or leading a payroll team preferred.
• Proficiency with payroll systems (UKG preferred).
• Familiarity with time and attendance systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax reporting.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Excel/data analysis capabilities.
