Overview

Coinbase is seeking a passionate full-stack engineer to work on the Developer Platform APIs, contributing to the future of the global financial system through crypto and blockchain technology.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for CDP APIs using Go and JavaScript.
• Define and maintain HTTP REST API definitions using OpenAPI specifications.
• Develop ergonomic, open-source SDKs using Ruby, TypeScript, Go, Python, and Java.
• Author and maintain clear documentation to increase adoption of APIs and SDKs.
• Develop secure key management systems for crypto wallet functionality.
• Collaborate with teams to externalize backend services through Platform APIs.
• Interface with customers to collect feedback and improve APIs and SDKs.
• Build sample applications to demonstrate API value and test developer experience.
• Troubleshoot and debug fullstack issues for stability and security.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend and frontend software development.
• Mastery of Go and JavaScript; experience with Ruby, TypeScript, Python, and Java is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for developer documentation.
• Strong understanding of crypto wallets and blockchain protocols.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping high-quality client-side libraries.
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience with databases and caching systems.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design principles.
• Familiarity with AWS and containerization technologies.
• Understanding of security best practices for financial systems.
