Credit Risk Manager - Remote

Overview

Coinbase is seeking a Credit Risk Manager with deep experience managing counterparty risk across financial institutions to support our growing team. The role involves assessing the credit and financial strength of counterparties and approving trading activity to protect against default.

In Short

• Approve counterparty credit reviews and internal credit ratings analysis.
• Assess industry fundamentals and qualitative factors supporting creditworthiness.
• Present findings to senior leadership and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead ongoing surveillance and prepare portfolio observations.

Requirements

• 7-10 years’ experience in credit risk management.
• Experience underwriting and managing risk to financial institutions.
• Strong quantitative skills and understanding of capital markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with commercial business insight.
• Able to balance strategic focus with tactical execution.
• Enjoys analyzing and challenging the status quo.
