Accounting Manager, Platform - Remote

Overview

Coinbase is seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to join our Accounting team as an Accounting Manager for Platform Operations. This role requires strong accounting and operational expertise, with a focus on collaboration across various teams.

In Short

• Perform or review monthly close activities related to inventory cost accounting.
• Assist with the launch of new digital assets impacting platform accounting.
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place for platform accounting.
• Develop scalable accounting processes for timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to streamline accounting transactions.
• Participate in critical accounting projects and system enhancements.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation for all tasks.
• Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses.
• Drive positive change and exceed expectations in the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a manager role.
• Experience in the financial services industry, such as fintech or payments.
• B.A. or B.S degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Month-end close experience.
• Exceptional leadership abilities and communication skills.
• Operational experience with high volume reconciliations.
• Technical data skills (e.g., SQL, Netsuite, Google Suite).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA preferred and SQL proficiency is a plus.
