Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, Inc. (CCLA) is seeking a hardworking, professional full time Staff Accountant to perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization. CCLA provides free civil legal services to low-income residents of Broward County.

In Short

• Perform general cost accounting and related duties.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and code invoices.
• Reconcile accounts and manage accounts receivable collections.
• Assist outside auditors with annual audits.
• Manage purchase and distribution of office supplies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting practices and procedures.
• Support the CFO in all aspects of their position.
• Collaborate with the Management Team and attend Board Meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general financial and cost accounting.
• Ability to prepare tax reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
