Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The staff accountant will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and supporting the accounting manager with daily and monthly accounting responsibilities including posting of recurring journal entries and account reconciliations.

In Short

• Maintain accounts payable including maintenance of vendor master files and entering vendor invoices.
• Maintain accounts receivable including customer master files and application of customer payments.
• Preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close and manage vendor/customer aging.
• Reconcile select monthly balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Execute annual 1099 reporting requirements.
• Research and resolve vendor inquiries.
• Complete ad-hoc projects to support the accounting department.

Requirements

• Experience in accounts payable and receivable.
• Knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ability to work extended hours during month-end close.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
