Overview

CloudWerx is looking for a PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL CONSULTANT, GOOGLE CLOUD to join our collaborative PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TEAM, remotely.

As a Principal Technical Consultant specializing in Google Cloud Platform, you will be a seasoned technical leader within our Google Cloud consulting practice. Leveraging your deep expertise in the GCP environment, you will be instrumental in guiding clients through their cloud adoption journey, ensuring successful implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This role requires a highly experienced and hands-on technical professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical execution. You will be expected to be client-facing and billable for a significant portion of your time, applying your knowledge to solve complex challenges and deliver tangible value. We will be working with some of the most advanced technology companies in Silicon Valley who are pushing the envelope of technology.

In Short

• Engagement Scoping and Planning: Collaborate with client stakeholders, sales, engineering and project management to understand client needs and define scope and project timelines.
• Technical Leadership and Guidance: Lead technical discussions with clients, articulating complex GCP concepts and solutions clearly and concisely.
• Solution Design and Implementation: Actively participate in the design, development, and deployment of GCP-based solutions.
• Quality Assurance and Best Practices: Conduct regular reviews of project deliverables to ensure adherence to architectural standards, GCP best practices, and security/compliance guidelines.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all proposed and implemented solutions meet stringent security and compliance requirements.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at client organizations.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience architecting, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized cloud architectures on GCP.
• Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, Terraform, Shell scripting).
• Expertise in DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
