Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer at ClickHouse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of our open-source column-oriented database system. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on ClickHouse Cloud.

In Short

Continuously improve the reliability and performance of ClickHouse core.
Create metrics and alerts to identify and prevent production issues.
Investigate customer problems and suggest improvements.
Enhance incident response processes.
Drive chaos initiatives across engineering teams.
Manage on-call processes for performance issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
8+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering or customer-facing engineering.
Experience operating ClickHouse or SQL databases in production.
Strong understanding of distributed databases and SQL.
Scripting experience with Shell or Python.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills.
