Overview

As a Database Reliability Engineer at ClickHouse, you will be responsible for enhancing the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of our core database systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improve customer experience.

In Short

Improve reliability and performance of ClickHouse core.
Create metrics and alerts to prevent production issues.
Identify root causes of common customer problems.
Enhance incident response processes.
Drive Chaos initiatives across Engineering teams.
Manage on-call processes for performance issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering or QA.
Experience operating ClickHouse or SQL databases in production.
Strong understanding of distributed database internals.
Scripting experience with Shell or Python.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills.
