Join Filevine as a Database Reliability Engineer and play a key role in scaling, optimizing, and ensuring the performance of our high-volume SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.

In Short

Lead performance tuning of Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
Scale and monitor databases effectively.
Assist in designing and building databases and schemas.
Develop tools for monitoring database performance and reliability.
Document database-related topics for developers and staff.
Triage escalated production issues.
Mentor junior engineers and define best practices.
Participate in on-call rotation for database reliability support.
Communicate effectively with technical and management audiences.
Analyze and improve scalability and performance of applications.

Requirements

8+ years of experience with large production databases.
Expert troubleshooting skills in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Proficient in T-SQL and common scripting languages.
Experience with Powershell or Python.
Familiarity with C# and AWS.
Experience with AWS RDS and DMS.
Mastery in independent project work and mentoring.
Familiarity with Redis, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, and Docker.
Strong communication skills.
Relevant certifications preferred.
