Card and Electronic Payments Associate - Remote

Overview

The Card and Electronic Payments Associate position works as a member of the Support Services team and is responsible for activities necessary to maintain recurring accounting and electronic payment functions, including both general ledger and accounts payable activities related to electronic payments. This position is responsible for the issuing and management of our debit card program including disputes, fraud, and reconciliations. This position also supports general credit union operations, working with front line staff to complete daily tasks and special projects to support our operations.

In Short

• Provides excellent service to both internal and external members.
• Responsible for processing, reconciliation and researching assigned postings to the accounting system.
• Performs daily postings related to debit card payments and exceptions.
• Conducts daily accounts payable activities, including processing invoices and issuing checks.
• Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Assists with periodic regulatory reporting.
• Posts checks received electronically via mobile deposit.
• Manages disputes and fraud claims.
• Works with auditors/examiners to respond to requests for documentation.
• Maintains strong product and process knowledge.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Accounting or relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals (GAAP).
• Thorough knowledge of Regulation CC and Regulation E.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong Math and Analytical skills.
• Ability to problem solve and work independently.
