Overview

The Child Care Investigator will work for the NYC Health Department to ensure child care services comply with health codes and regulations, protecting the health and safety of children in New York City.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with five years of investigative experience.
• Associate degree with four years of relevant experience.
• Baccalaureate degree with two years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent education or experience acceptable.
• Ability to analyze records and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in public health or child care compliance preferred.
• Must be prepared for legal processes related to investigations.
• Travel requirements within New York City.
