Overview

The Agency Attorney L2 will work within the Housing Litigation Division of the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, focusing on enforcing housing standards and legal compliance.

• Litigate cases in Housing Court on behalf of HPD.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• One year of legal experience or six months as an Agency Attorney Intern.
• Must remain a member of the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Knowledge of NYC Housing Maintenance Code and NYS Multiple Dwelling Law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of HPD's internal databases.
