Overview

The Director of Independent Risk Oversight is responsible for managing Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally, leading risk management activities associated with the retail credit portfolio.

In Short

• Lead risk management activities for retail credit portfolio.
• Validate new account and management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with partner contract SLAs.
• Conduct internal and external oversight reviews.
• Meet Partner/Citi Profit & Loss (P&L) expectations.
• Assess risk in business decisions to safeguard Citigroup and its clients.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate clear communication skills.
• Manage risk policy/strategy through various economic cycles.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management and Operating Committee.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in financial services and risk management.
• Experience with portfolio performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of behavior scores and data mining applications.
• Understanding of card product P&L dynamics.
• Proven analytic and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage risk policy/strategy effectively.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
