Overview

The Credit Underwriter will be part of the Counterparty Credit Risk team within Citi’s Institutional Credit Management group, focusing on credit analysis, risk identification, and exposure monitoring.

In Short

• Prepare credit reviews of new principal Lenders.
• Investigate and remediate limit excesses.
• Negotiate credit terms of legal documentation.
• Develop monthly presentations of portfolio analysis.
• Work with Risk colleagues on risk mitigation.
• Utilize risk management tools for monitoring exposure.
• Participate in strategic risk infrastructure development.
• 6-10 years of experience in credit risk management required.
• Strong Excel skills and programming skills preferred.
• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in related field required.

Requirements

• Experience in credit risk/counterparty credit risk management.
• Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to synthesize and prioritize tasks.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Education in mathematics, finance, or related field.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
• Formal Credit Training is a plus.
