Overview

The System Specialist 5 is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with LAN/WAN and help desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team.

In Short

• Assist in the resolution of complex end user problems.
• Work with engineering and applications development to resolve issues.
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and restore console systems.
• Schedule production runs and perform system backup processes.
• Assist in conducting user acceptance testing of new programs.
• Identify ways to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure technology assistance phases are coordinated and resolved.
• Provide informal technical training to new team members.
• Assess risk in business decisions regarding compliance and reputation.
• Demonstrate effective written and communication skills.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of prior related technology experience.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Desirable SQL knowledge.
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours.
