AVP, Business Risk and Control Senior Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Business Risk and Control Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role focused on risk management and control processes within a financial institution. This role requires a deep understanding of how various areas integrate and contribute to overall business objectives.

In Short

• Coordinate governance and execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA).
• Contribute to the quality and accuracy of the Control Framework implementation.
• Support identification of issue root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Influence decisions on control design and management to mitigate risks.
• Perform analysis to support Risk Appetite and monitor exposures.
• Support operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Ensure risk responsibilities are embedded within functional areas.
• Apply business knowledge to implement control points and processes.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Participate in coaching and training of new recruits.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in Financial Institution Risk & Controls.
• Experience with workflow systems.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Outstanding relationship building and management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
