Senior Data Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Data Platform Engineer will own and extend the data platform, enabling the building of customer pipelines quickly and safely on a robust foundation.

In Short

• Design, code, and maintain core platform services and internal Python libraries.
• Create and optimize complex Dagster jobs, DBT models, and BigQuery workflows.
• Build and maintain FastAPI REST services.
• Run infrastructure in Kubernetes.
• Manage event flows with Google Pub/Sub.
• Champion observability & reliability in data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Ops engineers and Product managers.
• Experience in Python engineering and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with modern data stacks and SQL.
• Evidence of technical leadership or architecture ownership.

Requirements

• Solid Python engineering skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiarity with Airbyte, Dagster, dbt, and BigQuery.
• Comfortable with SQL for analysis and debugging.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data pipelines.
• Comfortable with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Experience designing large-scale data platforms.
• Strong collaborative working skills.
• A bias for automation and clean documentation.
• Experience with GCP or AWS/Azure.
