Accounts Receivable - Collections Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely management of the organization’s customer collections processes. This role involves full ownership of global customer collections, ensuring strong cash flow by maintaining positive customer relationships and resolving discrepancies efficiently.

In Short

• Expedite the resolution of unpaid customer accounts for timely cash collection.
• Establish and maintain receivables processes to improve collections velocity.
• Create month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare weekly collection and AR status reports for executives.
• Prepare cash forecast reports for the executive team.
• Research and resolve receivable issues.
• Communicate cross-functionally to aid in the collections process.
• Manage special projects and ad-hoc analyses as directed by management.
• Minimum 5 years of collections experience, preferably in SaaS or B2B.
• Strong experience with ERP (NetSuite preferred) and CRM (Salesforce.com preferred).

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proactive and comfortable taking initiative.
• Meticulous attention to detail; highly organized.
• Strong project management and time management skills.
• Prior SaaS experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP.
