Senior Accountant (CAD) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team and oversee the back office accounting operations of our Canadian arm with precision and efficiency. This role involves managing the monthly close process, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

In Short

• Manage and own full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with audits and year-end closing.
• Implement and maintain internal controls.
• Provide financial insights to management.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors.
• Experience with SaaS and manufacturing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Xero and SalesForce a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with vendor payments and customer collections.
