Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

Twilio is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to be a key contributor on our International Accounting team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, maintaining ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations.

In Short

• Own the GL function of the Mexico Entity.
• Support accounts payable and receivables dealing with WHT and VAT calculations.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger.
• Liaise with outsourced providers for tax filings.
• Perform month-end close tasks and reporting.
• Document business procedures as they evolve.
• Perform analytical review of operations.
• Assist in facilitating process improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in finance/accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable.
• Experience working with Income Tax, WHT, and VAT.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing local statutory audits.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Accounting Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
