Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

Kensington Investment Company, Inc. (KIC) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the growing Accounting & Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting accounting functions including accruals, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and general ledger management.

In Short

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for various accounts.
• Reconcile brokerage accounts monthly.
• Analyze financial statements and identify variances.
• Support annual audits by compiling necessary documentation.
• Mentor Staff Accountant and suggest process improvements.
• Work closely with VP of Finance and CFO.
• Maintain corporate books and family member financials.
• Track intercompany loans across all entities.
• Display exceptional attention to detail.
• Follow a hybrid work schedule of 2 days remote, 3 days in the office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with RealPage or other accounting software.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding time management skills.
• Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
• Audit experience is strongly preferred.
