Overview

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day administration and implementation of various HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, offboarding, employee engagement, records management, and compliance efforts.

  • Manage payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Handle employee grievances and performance issues.
  • Administer recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain HR information systems and records.
  • Support employee engagement and offboarding activities.
  • Guide managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in drafting HR policies and maintaining the Employee Handbook.
  • Provide HR support throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on labor law changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of HR experience.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and payroll regulations.
  • Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and mediation skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Customer service and employee relations skills.
