Managing Consultant Engineer - Mainframe DB2 - Remote

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to make innovative and strategic contributions to the design and implementation of new solutions and products for Managed Services clients, focusing on mainframe DB2 software and related technologies.

• Provide technical consultation and support for Managed Services clients.
• Act as a subject matter expert for DB2 and related mainframe technologies.
• Lead design workshops and mentor engineers.

• Provide 24x7 support for critical systems.
• Conduct expert-level analysis and infrastructure planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of IT engineering experience.
• Experience in z/OS administration and DB2 system management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High-level certifications in relevant technical areas.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and customer transitions.
• Skills in balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with Managed Services environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar tools is a plus.
• ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of assembler is a plus.
