Acute Access Nurse Practitioner, Virtual Care - Remote

The Acute Access Nurse Practitioner, Virtual Care applies advanced education and clinical competencies to achieve optimal patient outcomes, focusing on diverse health issues and promoting health maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.

In Short

• Provide virtual care for patients, focusing on Medicare Wellness and acute same-day visits.
• Evaluate and treat patients according to standards of care.
• Participate actively in a team-based care environment.
• Complete medical documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
• Prescribe medication and treat patients with various health conditions.
• Work under minimal supervision while exercising independent judgment.
• Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.
• Must be able to work M-F 8am-5pm EST for 16-20 hours/week.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including email and EMR.
• Certification to write prescriptions under a collaborating physician.
• Passion for improving consumer experiences in healthcare.
• Telehealth experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
