Crisis Specialist (BSW) - Remote

Overview

The Crisis Specialist (BSW) provides mental health and behavioral crisis assessment and intervention services for children and adolescents in the community, working as part of a team to ensure rapid mobile response and stabilization.

In Short

• Deliver crisis assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents.
• Deescalate and stabilize clients in their home or current environment.
• Complete FD-12 application for emergency hospitalization when necessary.
• Document services in client case records within 24 hours.
• Conduct follow-up calls and visits after deployment.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and other agencies.
• Attend mandatory trainings and community outreach events.
• Participate in weekly supervision and consultation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Licensed clinician with LSWA in DC and LBSW in MD.
• One year of experience working with youth and/or families.
• Previous experience in crisis intervention preferred.
• Valid local driver’s license and clean driving record required.
