Senior Corporate Accountant (Night Shift) - Remote

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. This is a full-time night shift role, aligned with US hours (PST), as you’ll be collaborating closely with our international teams.

In Short

• Own key accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and global standards.
• Strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
• Introduce automation, AI, and new technology to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Drive process improvements to make financial operations faster, smoother, and more scalable.
• Partner with teams across Canva to simplify financial processes and provide insights that drive better decision-making.
• Support audits and regulatory requirements, working closely with external auditors and internal teams.
• Provide real-time support and collaboration with US-based teams, ensuring seamless accounting close processes across different time zones.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal control.
• A problem-solving mindset and thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills to simplify complex financial concepts.
• A passion for automation, technology, and improving workflows.
• Experience working with ERP systems (bonus points for NetSuite!).
• Open to working night shifts Tuesday - Saturday 1:00AM - 10:00AM PH time.
