Technical Project Manager - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who is passionate about joining a team dedicated to making a difference in the life of learners and educators. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with software engineers and cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

In Short

• Serve as the agile scrum master of teams as assigned for each Program Increment.
• Manage, prioritize, and execute on accepted objectives through Jira tickets.
• Run refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives as needed.
• Understand and communicate technical constraints or dependencies.
• Create, maintain, and communicate project status and schedule from initiation to release.
• Lead the team to define, scope and estimate deliverables.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.
• Act as mediator between team members and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other Project Managers to align projects with best practices.
• Manage external consultants and contractors as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience managing cross-functional software teams.
• Experience managing software and/or web-based projects.
• Familiarity with project management tools and best practices.
• Experience using issue tracking tools (especially JIRA).
• Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and solid technical background.
• Experience with the K-12 domain preferred.
• Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree, or equivalent experience.
