Overview

The Training Support Specialist will work with the IFMS team to provide an end-to-end training program for organizations new to the USDA’s Food Distribution Program, focusing on virtual training and individual support for system users across the U.S.

In Short

  • Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing users of the FDPIR program.
  • Coordinate schedules and lead training sessions.
  • Create training materials and content, including presentations and videos.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Work with the Help Desk to provide targeted training based on user needs.
  • Utilize various training methods, including virtual platforms.
  • Ensure users understand the system and its benefits.
  • Maintain records and reports related to training and user feedback.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve training programs.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and 2+ years of experience in a training environment.
  • Experience in designing and executing training programs.
  • Familiarity with modern training methods specific to virtual training.
  • Excellent written communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify training opportunities.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience with Salesforce software is preferred.
  • Experience developing user manuals and training programs.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
