The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Step Down unit provides direct patient care using the nursing process and adheres to nursing standards, working as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

In Short

• Responsible for planning, delivering, and managing patient care.
• Utilizes the Nursing Process from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessments according to standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individual plans of care.
• Supervises and evaluates nursing care within the clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
• Implements and coordinates education plans for patients and families.
• Works mixed shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Requires current Massachusetts Nursing licensure.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Nursing discipline.
• Ability to work mixed shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in patient care and assessment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
