The Patient Care Assistant II plays a crucial role in providing care to patients in the Emergency Department, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring patient safety under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

  • Previous clinical experience or certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required for effective communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED.
  • Current CNA, EMT license, or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Prior clinical experience or nursing student with clinical rotation completed.
  • Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
  • Problem-solving abilities for routine situations.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Proven sensitivity to patient needs.
  • Must utilize safety techniques in all activities.
